When it comes to visiting Wan Chai, the Star Ferry is definitely on the top of the list. There are more than 80(60 on weekends and holidays) ferries shuttle between Wan Chai and Tsim Sha Tsui. Along your ferry ride, you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Victoria Harbour as well as the stunning skyline of Hong Kong.

1. MTR (Subway)-Fast & Convenient
Island Line (Blue Line): Get off at Wan Chai Station
South Island Line (Orange Line): Transfer at Admiralty Station to reach Wan Chai.
Airport Express: to Hong Kong Station, transfer to the Island Line (MTR) to Wan Chai.
2. Buses – Extensive Network
From Central: Take buses 1, 5B, 11, or 25A.
From Kowloon: Buses 104, 111, or 182 cross the harbor via tunnels.
From Hong Kong Island East: Buses 2, 8, or 720 connect to Wan Chai.
3. Taxi – Direct & Comfortable
Red Urban Taxi: serve Hong Kong Island; flag one down or use apps like HKTaxi.
Approximate fare: HK$50–100 from Central, HK$150–200 from Kowloon.
4. Ferry -Scenic Option (Recommended)
Take the ferry from Tsim Sha Tsui (Star Ferry Pier) to Wan Chai Ferry Pier (HK$5, 10–15 mins). It is not just a ride but also a journey.
